About The Position

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an IT Support professional to join their team. This role involves providing technical and user support, managing IT Helpdesk cases, and contributing to IT projects. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and technical skills, be dependable, and able to handle multiple priorities. This position is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency and security of the college's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and user support and guidance in a positive and cooperative manner.
  • Process IT Helpdesk cases/incidents to ensure timely resolution within SLA and maintain respectful communication.
  • Provide end-user support for desktop and laptop devices, printers, document cameras, scanners, projectors, network, wireless, and VoIP.
  • Utilize various communication methods (phone, face-to-face) for excellent customer service.
  • Develop troubleshooting guides and guidelines under the direction of the IT Director.
  • Assist the IT System Administrator or IT Network Administrator as assigned.
  • Participate in additional IT Support related projects.
  • Follow equipment cleaning and maintenance schedules, and implement preventative measures.
  • Provide input to the IT Director on improving operational efficiency, technical skills, and customer service.
  • Participate in statewide teams as needed.
  • Share responsibility for physical and data security of lab equipment and software.
  • Help identify network security vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in moving equipment as assigned.
