About The Position

The IT Support Technician plays a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to end-users within the organization. This position is responsible for resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and peripherals. The IT Support Technician collaborates with cross-functional teams, delivers exceptional customer service, and contributes to maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment.

Requirements

  • Understanding of server hardware configuration.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows Servers and Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online.
  • Ability to administer Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Active Directory/AAD, Azure, and Group Policy Objects, and Intune.
  • Basic PowerShell skills.
  • Basic knowledge of IP-based network routing and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to monitor and troubleshoot VoIP systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to computers and software applications.
  • Basic proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to networks and servers.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other network protocols.
  • Ability to provide technical support and effectively interact with users through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to balance multiple needs and priorities.

  • Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in IT support.

  • 1 or more years of experience in IT support or related roles, AND
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; OR
  • Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must hold or plan to complete the following professional certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or MCSA.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Familiarity with Nutanix solutions.
  • Familiarity with Cisco solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Configures and maintains computer systems, networks, and related hardware and software.
  • Provides technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network connectivity problems, and assisting with software installations and upgrades.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams on interdepartmental projects.
  • Responds to service requests and incidents promptly, documenting and tracking issues in a ticketing system.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Creates and maintains documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, trainings, standards, and user guides.
  • Stays current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure the organization's systems and networks are up-to-date and secure.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive system and network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration details, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provides technical documentation and training to team members and end-users as needed.
  • Participates in on-call rotations and provides after-hours support as needed.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
  • Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
