Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. With over 1,700 employees across four time zones and nine sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace. Our team is looking for an IT Support Technician to join them. You will report to the IT Service Manager and will have an onsite work structure in Chatsworth, CA.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ years of IT support or help desk experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and endpoint management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a growing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Set up user accounts, email access, and system permissions.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Perform routine system updates, patches, and preventive maintenance.
  • Assist with IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Escalate complex technical issues as needed.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and user awareness efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
