About The Position

We are Glacier Federal, LLC (GFL), a government contracting and consulting firm supporting several military installations and federal agencies across the nation. GFL is looking for an IT Support Specialist to assist 502d Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) Programs on-site at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX. What You'll Do: Assist government personnel with hardware and software requirements Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.) Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (mapping drivers, printers etc.) Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications Assess, inventory and track equipment Support SharePoint initiatives to include configuring web page, office client integration, and content management Evaluate and report discrepancies identified in NexGen systems What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of IT System principles, concepts, and practices is required. Knowledge of network administration and security practices for government facilities is required. Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Access) is required. Ability to successfully pass a federal agency background check is required, Secret Clearance is required. Possession of a Security+ Certification is required An adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI), Common Access Card (CAC) preferred, within the last two (2) years as well as Air Force experience preferred.
