About The Position

The IT Support Specialist will serve as an integral role in ensuring Alpha’s technology systems perform exceptionally well. The IT Support will have a high comfort level with technology and be able to troubleshoot issues, learn computer programs quickly, and be adept at collecting and analyzing data. The IT Support will have a strong customer service approach. Additionally, the IT Support will value communication with all Alpha staff members and collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Create configurations and manage Apple devices in Jamf MDM
  • Perform remote support on macOS software
  • Asset tracking and inventory of hardware
  • Setup and manage Chromebooks on an enterprise scale
  • Manage and troubleshoot Verizon hotspots
  • Basic maintenance of projectors/document cameras/Apple TV
  • Manage VoIP phone system
  • Troubleshoot various Google Apps including Gmail/Google Drive/Google Sites
  • Manage school website via Google Sites, as well as WordPress
  • Ability to research complex problems and develop cost effective solutions; strong analytical skills
  • Create and manage tickets for addressing hardware and software issues in Freshdesk
  • Assess and recommend software and hardware solutions
  • Provide advanced support and/or hands-on assistance to staff
  • Maintain clear documentation for internal projects and troubleshooting guides
