About The Position

This is a temporary, full-time dual-role position requiring 40 hours per week, with an estimated project duration of 3 months. The objective is to ensure ongoing customer service and support for end-users, while also coordinating, scheduling, planning, and organizing IT Projects involving both internal and external resources. The role includes providing system/network support and supporting the organization's desktop computing environment. This involves installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading PC hardware, software, and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Key activities include working with the IT Director to prioritize and manage system implementations, scheduling and directing outside vendors, collaborating with the IT Support team on hardware and software maintenance, and aligning infrastructure capacity with organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ of experience providing level 3 or equivalent IT Helpdesk Support
  • Minimum 2 years’ of network experience supporting MS Windows, Network, Exchange, Outlook, Active Directory
  • Experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops, and Servers

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support to end users within the organization’s desktop computing environment.
  • Provide system support including installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading software and equipment to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance and training where required.
  • Troubleshoot systems hardware, software and network issues.
  • Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems.
  • Provide Network support of WAN, LAN to include VOIP.
  • As assigned, assist in the planning, implementation and introduction of new systems and technologies.
  • Contribute to hardware & software procurement, inventory, purchasing and receiving processes.
  • Work directly with the Director of IT identifying technologies with value add for the organization.
  • Liaise with third-party infrastructure support vendors & equipment vendors.
  • Collaborate with consulting systems engineers to ensure efficient operation of the company’s computing environment and to resolve technical problems.
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding library of IT Standard Operating Procedures & Policies.
  • Supports various technologies across the organization including mobile devices, BYOD and Citrix.
  • Maintains updated knowledge of technology.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future desktop hardware needs.
  • Conduct research on new & existing technologies.
  • Produce Technical & Non-Technical User Guides, SOPs, and specifications for purchase of system equipment & software.
  • Ensure the Director of IT is well informed and consulted appropriately.
  • Special project management.
