About The Position

Join us! We have a part-time IT Support Specialist Internship opportunity for a tech-savvy individual looking to gain hands-on experience in technical support, troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 administration, hardware deployment, and nonprofit IT operations. This is what you'll get to do. Serve as the first point of contact for technology support requests via phone, email, ticketing system, or in person. Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues. Assist with user account administration, including password resets and access requests. Install, configure, and update software applications and technology equipment. Document, track, and update service requests in the IT help desk ticketing system. Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to appropriate IT staff. Maintain asset inventory records and assist with computer setup, deployment, and equipment replacements. Support Microsoft 365 and other cloud-based technology solutions. Provide excellent customer service while assisting employees with technology-related questions and concerns. Follow IT security, data privacy, and organizational technology policies. Assist with additional technology projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree, certificate, or training program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related field at an accredited college, university, or technical program.
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, computer hardware, and networking concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender Registry, and a criminal history check.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and cloud-based technologies preferred.
