About The Position
A client of TEKsystems is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PC Refresh Technician (Contractor) to support a long-term laptop refresh initiative. This role will focus exclusively on hands-on PC refresh activities (“station two” work) and associated shipping and asset tracking tasks. The contractor will support a large-scale refresh of approximately 4,600 pre-purchased laptops, with work projected to continue through 2026 and potentially beyond.

Responsibilities
- Perform PC refresh “station two” tasks, including: Renaming computers, Running standardized scripts, Installing driver updates, Preparing and distributing connection/setup information to end users.
- Execute shipping and logistics duties: Wipe down systems and prepare devices for shipment, Box laptops and print FedEx shipping labels, Accurately record tracking numbers and asset details in ServiceNow.
- Follow detailed, written procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal IT staff; escalate issues as needed (complex troubleshooting handled by existing IT teams).
