About The Position

ITASCA , a renowned international engineering company, is seeking a motivated IT Intern to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. This hands-on internship provides experience in IT support and infrastructure. The intern will assist with help desk support, Windows and Microsoft 365 troubleshooting, PC setup and repairs, and support server and network maintenance alongside our IT team. Why Choose ITASCA? Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited 2‑year or 4‑year college or university, with a minimum of 20 completed credits.
  • Actively pursuing a major in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., as needed
  • Successful completion of: Criminal background check Verification of employment history, education, and licenses
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without present or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, L-1, TN). Candidates on or for CPT/OPT are ineligible.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high level of customer satisfaction through effective telephone, email, and chat support, responding with appropriate urgency to user needs.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for calls, walk‑up incidents, and service requests.
  • Provide support for Windows operating systems, including assisting remote employees using tools such as Microsoft Teams and Remote Desktop.
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Perform PC builds, troubleshooting, repairs, and hardware/software upgrades.
  • Document, track, and monitor all support requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Log all requests accurately and collaborate with other service desk team members to resolve issues.
  • Assist with server room maintenance and routine updates.
  • Assist with network hardware installations, upgrades, and configuration tasks.
