About The Position
Works with the Information Technology department to provide assistance and support.
Requirements
- Completion of freshman year toward a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate simple figures and amounts.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Responsibilities
- Assist users with general how-to questions (typically Microsoft Office applications, printers, Internet Explorer).
- Install/update various applications on workstations and laptops.
- Test/troubleshoot problems reported by users, research issues, find solutions and implement fixes.
- Assist IT staff with maintaining hardware, network, and servers.
