About The Position

River Valley Holdings is expanding, and we’re looking for an adaptable, service-focused IT Support Analyst to support end-users across multiple facilities in Syracuse. If you enjoy problem solving, supporting people, and improving systems, this role gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, growing organization. You’ll work hands-on with a mix of desktop support, server and network administration, Microsoft environments, and end-user engagement. This role is full-time, on-site and requires travel between our Syracuse-based locations. The IT Support Analyst reports to the Director of IT.

Requirements

  • Experience providing IT support for end-users in a business environment
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, Microsoft 365/Exchange, networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and workstation configuration
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to research, diagnose, and resolve issues independently
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical users
  • Positive attitude, resourcefulness, professionalism, and customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to stand, move equipment, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel between Syracuse sites

Responsibilities

  • Supporting End-Users
  • Provide first-level support and troubleshoot devices, software, and access issues
  • Configure workstations, software deployments, user accounts, and access permissions
  • Train and assist users at all experience levels with patience and clarity
  • Managing Desktop & System Administration
  • Install, configure, and update desktop applications, operating systems, and Microsoft tools
  • Manage Windows updates, Exchange administration, file shares, and access controls
  • Assist with documentation, ticketing systems, and ongoing improvement of support processes
  • Contributing to Network & Server Reliability
  • Support both physical and virtual server environments including maintenance and backup processes
  • Assist with Active Directory administration and Group Policy changes
  • Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues and support access point management
  • Strengthening Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Support and reinforce security standards, updates, and systems hardening
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation and troubleshooting workflows
  • Participate in on-call support rotation as needed
