About The Position

The IT Supervisor provides first‑level support for local computer systems and oversees the daily operations of the IT Department. This role leads a small technical team responsible for maintaining network infrastructure, hardware, and software systems. The IT Supervisor ensures timely troubleshooting, coordinates system upgrades, ensures adherence to local and corporate IT policies/procedures, and works closely with the Corporate IT team to ensure system reliability, security, and maximum uptime.

Requirements

  • College diploma or certificate in Computer Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or related technical roles, with exposure to hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Supervisory or Team‑Lead experience is an asset, including coaching, delegation, and supporting staff performance.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting abilities across desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, and networked systems.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, user account management, and common business applications.
  • Understanding of network fundamentals, including LAN/WAN, switches, Wi‑Fi, and basic cabling.
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems, including prioritization, documentation, and follow‑up.
  • Familiarity with IT security practices and corporate IT compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users at varying technical levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Calm and composed under pressure, particularly during outages or urgent technical issues.
  • Service‑oriented mindset with a positive, solutions‑focused approach to problem‑solving.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures and IT policies consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end‑user technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and related equipment.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications in accordance with IT standards.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain printers and multifunction devices.
  • Manage and resolve helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely follow‑up and documentation.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, equipment, and IT supplies.
  • Support network infrastructure, including switches, access points, and cabling.
  • Supervise IT staff, providing coaching, guidance, and training to support professional development.
  • Collaborate with Corporate IT on system upgrades, security initiatives, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
