About The Position

Nor-Cal Controls engineers SCADA and controls solutions for utility-scale renewable energy power plants, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and microgrids. The company is seeking an IT Supervisor to lead its internal IT team and perform hands-on work maintaining operating systems, hardware, middleware, databases, and related software. The hiring salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 annually, with options for in-office or hybrid work. Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, other relevant degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10 years of progressive experience in systems and network administration
  • 1 year in a supervisory or managerial capacity within an IT environment
  • Hands-on with public cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud architectures
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals: vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and incident response

Responsibilities

  • Leading our internal IT team
  • Performing hands-on work with maintaining operating systems, hardware, middleware, databases, and related software
  • Become familiarized with Nor-Cal's technology stack and IT processes
  • Develop a successful working relationship with IT team that aligns with our Core Values
  • Collaborate with the IT/OT Manager to define data-management strategies in line with customer requirements and regulations
