About The Position

This federal contract will provide comprehensive program and project management support services to a federal customer supporting a large, distributed IT environment. Services include end-to-end project and program management, project management office (PMO) support, implementation management, business analysis, and organizational change management for technology initiatives of varying size and complexity. Work will span the full project lifecycle from initiation and planning through execution, deployment, and closeout and will support multiple concurrent projects and portfolios. The SME position supports project management, coordination, analysis, documentation, reporting, schedule management, stakeholder engagement, and implementation activities across one or more concurrent projects. The role contributes to a structured delivery environment by maintaining accurate project information, supporting disciplined execution, tracking progress, and helping project teams address risks, issues, dependencies, and changing priorities. This position provides the technical expertise, project leadership, analytical support, or flexible capacity needed to support successful project delivery from planning through execution, implementation, and closeout. Leads projects, providing technical guidance and hands-on oversight. Responsible for solution validation, specialized training, integration planning, and resolving technical challenges across projects. The Subject Matter Expert provides senior-level technical or functional leadership for projects that require specialized knowledge, solution validation, and hands-on oversight. This role leads projects or technical workstreams, advises project teams on complex requirements, evaluates proposed approaches, and helps translate business or operational needs into practical implementation plans. The Subject Matter Expert identifies technical risks, recommends mitigation strategies, validates solution designs, and supports decision-making when projects involve specialized systems, integrations, processes, or operational constraints. In addition to direct project support, the Subject Matter Expert contributes to training, knowledge transfer, integration planning, testing, and issue resolution. This role reviews key project artifacts, supports requirements refinement, assists with readiness activities, and helps resolve complex technical or process challenges that may affect schedule, quality, adoption, or sustainment. The Subject Matter Expert also helps capture lessons learned, improve repeatable delivery practices, and provide targeted expertise when project teams need additional guidance or senior-level support.

Requirements

  • 6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

  • Prior government experience is desired.
