About The Position

The IT Student Worker position works at the Helpdesk, providing timely support to the campus community. As part of the IT team the IT Student Worker position will work in a collaborative department which strives to give the best IT service possible to the Students, Guests, Faculty and Staff of North Central Michigan College.

Requirements

• Must be a current student at NCMC and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for Fall/Winter semesters or 3 credit hours for the summer semester.
• Willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Monitor Information Technology Help desk; including tickets; including phone, email, and walk-ins.
• Assist IT staff with various projects as needed.
• Assist IT staff install, update, and maintain hardware and software for computers on campus - Including Macs and PCs.
• Help maintain campus computer Labs
• Provide tier -1 support for troubleshooting tech related issues
• Perform various clerical tasks
• Other duties as assigned.
