IT Strategic Sourcing Manager
About The Position
The person in this position is responsible for Sourcing Information Technology products, software, and services. This role involves developing a global sourcing strategy for Information Technology, including communication services, software, hardware, and maintenance. The manager will define project scopes, identify savings opportunities, and negotiate and manage contracts and vendor relationships. They will also lead the design and implementation of policies and metrics to achieve savings goals, advise technical buyers, engineers, and management on new product needs, and serve as the primary interface between company components and suppliers on strategic/critical quality, engineering, and procurement matters. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing long and short-range sourcing strategies for complex and high-risk items.
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires at least 10 years related experience.
- Broad knowledge of contract law, the RFQ process, supplier and part qualification processes, low cost country sourcing.
- Expert negotiation, presentation, analytical, planning, project management, written, and verbal skills.
- Ability to work across the organization at all levels, and develop strategic category plans.
