About The Position

Goldbelt C6 offers research and development, engineering, and logistics services that enhance and enlarge customers' operations. C6's expertise is focused on integrating C6ISR and scientific, engineering, and technical support for various government partners. Summary: Goldbelt C6, LLC., is seeking an IT Specialist to maintain and update the dedicated internal network for public outreach, assist with social media configuration (Adobe Connect, Microsoft Teams, WebEx), perform mobile devices setup and deployment, assist in maintaining the IT inventory, and provide hardware/software support to 500+ customers. This position is located in the Information Technology Division (F/EX/IT). Work Location: Working domestically - Temporary Duty Station (TDY) - Continental United States (CONUS)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including follow-up on pending and ongoing tasks
  • Ability to operate significantly under own initiative and as part of a team, including drafting proposals and recommending effective approaches to tasks with minimal guidance
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of actors within the F Family and the other Bureaus and offices within the Department of State, as well as with interagency and external partners
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology related field preferred. Proven experience and certifications will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Some travel may be required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with firewall deployments, IPsec, and SharePoint Administration
  • Currently has an active Secret clearance
  • Prior experience working with the U.S. Department of State is highly desired to understand the culture and environment

Responsibilities

  • Execute configurations for routers, switches, wireless AP’s and WLAN controllers using Cisco/HP hardware
  • Carry out network performance monitoring, planning, troubleshooting, and end-user support
  • Work as a team member with other technical staff to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems
  • Monitor performance and analyzed network irregularities
  • Support mobile device and mobile device inventory
  • Rebuild network infrastructure and keep the network up-to-date and secured
  • Troubleshoot various network issues, affect solutions, and collaborate with staff and outside vendors to resolve complex problems
  • Install, configure, operate, and maintain current DOS selected Operating Systems
