About The Position

Following the start-up phase of the U.S. facility, Il Pastaio is seeking a hands-on Plant IT Specialist with solid experience in a food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring the smooth functioning of manufacturing systems, supporting end users, and quickly resolving operational issues. This role is ideal for a practical, service-oriented IT professional who enjoys being close to production and actively supporting business operations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in the food industry is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience supporting ERP and MES systems in a production environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and end-user support.
  • Experience with traceability systems and shop-floor technologies.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Support production users and office staff with daily IT needs.
  • Manage and monitor Windows/macOS endpoints and mobile device configurations.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services and collaboration tools.
  • Support and maintain ERP and MES systems, coordinating updates and troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of traceability systems and shop-floor applications.
  • Support production equipment connected to IT systems, including printers, barcode scanners, and label printers.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and business applications.
  • Administer Active Directory, Exchange, and identity management tools.
  • Collaborate on cybersecurity initiatives and vulnerability mitigation activities.
  • Ensure business continuity through backup procedures and disaster recovery practices.
  • Document IT procedures, system configurations, and operational guidelines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives within the plant.
