About The Position

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our Home Office Team in Bloomington, MN! The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing technical advice and support to system users, ensuring timely resolution of helpdesk requests. Installing, modifying and making minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems. Creates, maintains, and removes user access and email.

Requirements

  • 1 Year of helpdesk experience supporting remote users at multiple locations
  • Associates degree in I.T., or equivalent
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office, Active Directory

Nice To Haves

  • YARDI experience preferred
  • Google Workspace experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests sent to the I.T. helpdesk; escalates major problems as appropriate
  • Provides telephone, in person, and remote support to users, verbally coaching them through common operations
  • Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements
  • Set up Active Directory accounts for new users.
  • Create email accounts as necessary
  • Deactivate user accounts for departing employees
  • Prepares hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives for installation on users’ premises
  • Loads appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications
  • Performs hardware installations at local sites.
  • Prepares systems for shipping to remote sites as appropriate
  • Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network
