About The Position

T-Solutions is seeking candidates for an IT Specialist/Windows position in their Wallops Island, Virginia office. This role supports the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) by providing management, engineering, operation, and technical expertise for the activation, operations, maintenance, and engineering of equipment, systems, and computer programs in support of NAVSEA and PEO IWS missions. The SCSC offers live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric, maritime environment for the development, testing, evaluation, and fleet operations and training for the warfighter.

Requirements

Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
U.S. citizenship required.
Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations.
Must maintain the capacity to communicate with their supervisor and/or manager when not in the office.
Must be available to work varying shifts and weekends as required.
Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree within the last five years in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering or similar degree as listed in the DoD 8140 listings from an ABET accredited or NCAE designated institution.

Responsibilities

Install hardware, build software, configure, and maintain Windows servers and workstations.
Create and administer user accounts, security groups, and group policy.
Conduct backups and system recoveries.
Configure and manage patching solutions and log collection.
Provide technical support to onsite users.
Maintain compliance with DoD Security Technical Configuration Guides (STIGs).
Investigate trouble calls, isolate faults, identify and implement corrective actions to restore information systems operations.
Author change request documentation to support system configuration adjustments.
Monitor networks and systems for security threats, investigate alerts, and respond to incidents.
Tune detection rules and support requirements to secure complex security architectures.
Understand TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, command-line mechanics, unicast/multicast, and other system/networking knowledge.
