About The Position

The Service Desk Summer Intern supports the Pioneers user base as a member of the Pioneers IT Service Desk team during a defined summer internship period. This role focuses on Tier 1 support activities while intentionally participating in the life of the IT team, including spiritual formation, prayer, and team rhythms. The internship is designed to provide hands-on technical experience and spiritual growth in a mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Desire to grow spiritually while serving on a Christ-centered team
  • Strong interest in information technology and hands-on learning
  • Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, receive coaching, and grow in both technical and professional capacity
  • Basic familiarity with Windows and/or macOS environments
  • Ability to work well within a team environment under supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, or similar platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support to Pioneers staff, including basic desktop, application, and account-related troubleshooting
  • Assist with hardware and software setup, imaging, and deployments under supervision
  • Respond to service desk tickets in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner
  • Escalate issues appropriately to Tier 2 and Tier 3 staff
  • Support ad-hoc IT requests and small projects as assigned
  • Participate in IT team meetings, prayer times, and team development activities
