About The Position

The IT Solutions Design Specialist leads the creation of a comprehensive end-to-end detailed solution with overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of the System Design Specification (SDS) and is largely focused on large-scale, complex or enterprise projects. May also be accountable for complex programming / coding. Provides technical expertise and guidance to others in a lead capacity and works autonomously. Expert knowledge of the business, the broader organization, technical environment, processes, procedures, tools and other relevant technology areas (e.g. Architecture, Infrastructure, Security etc.) from a design / support / solutions perspective. Primary subject matter expert in multiple areas and consults with clients/or project teams with respect to all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware / software support and/or development of technical solutions and/or testing. Works autonomously and leads on a diverse range of activities (e.g. design, support of technical business solutions) and is relied upon to coach / educate and monitor the work of others. Acts as an internal expert resource in the exchange of technical information for project teams, and provides technical insight and recommendations to the business and/or outside vendors. Typically reports to a Senior IT Development Manager or higher.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
• 7+ years related experience
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required)

Nice To Haves

• Graduate degree, preferred
• 5–8+ years of experience in Salesforce development.
• Strong expertise in: Apex (classes, triggers, async processing)
• Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• SOQL / SOSL
• Writing tests in Playwright
• Proven experience implementing Salesforce Experience Cloud (Communities).
• Prompt engineering: Effectively write prompts in using GitHub Copilot, to generate or debug code or test scripts
• Contribute to reusable agents/prompts that can be scaled to other developers or other Salesforce development areas
• Experience in: Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs)
• Data modeling and governance
• Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Architecture (preferred)
• Experience in: Identity integrations (OAuth, SSO, MFA)
• Financial Services / Commercial Lending domain
• nCino platform
• Salesforce Platform Developer II or Experience Cloud Consultant certification
