About The Position

The IT Software Developer- Associate will research, design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software systems to meet client requirements. This role involves preparing user documentation, analyzing programming requests, developing software solutions with minimal assistance, and ensuring that changes to the production environment follow the IT change control process. The developer will confirm project requirements by reviewing client user stories and desired output, ensuring successful design, build, clear documentation, and testing using best practices. Additionally, the role includes handling incoming tickets, resolving issues, escalating when necessary, and communicating status updates on tasks, project plans, risks, and milestones to team members and management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• +4 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
• Display aptitude in applying programming techniques to solve business needs
• Possess excellent analytical and problem solving/resolution skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree highly recommended
• ITIL Foundations or professional certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions when appropriate
• Analyze new programming requests and develop software solutions with minimal assistance.
• Responsible for developing solutions to programming requests approved by IT Steering Committee and IT management.
• Route all changes to the production environment through the IT change control process
• Confirm project requirements by reviewing the client’s user story and desired output while ensuring that the design and build are completed successfully, clearly documented and tested while leveraging best practices.
• Field incoming tickets and work to resolve issues, or if unable to resolve issue, escalate appropriately.
• Communicates status updates of tasks, project plans, risk points and milestones to appropriate team members and management in a meaningful and timely fashion.
