About The Position

The JDE Software Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of the Oracle JD Edwards (JDE World 7.3) platform. This role combines deep Configurable Network Computing (CNC) expertise with hands-on functional support across core JDE modules, ensuring the ERP environment is stable, secure, performant, and aligned with business needs. The successful candidate will own the technical health of the JDE landscape — including object management, security, package builds, environment refreshes, and patching — while also partnering with finance, distribution, manufacturing, and supply-chain stakeholders to troubleshoot module issues and implement configuration changes that drive operational efficiency. This role requires the JDE Software Administrator to be on-site in Clearwater, Florida daily. On a daily basis our JOB TITLE: Administer JD Edwards World A7.3 on a single IBM i (OS/400 / IBM i 7.x) LPAR; use JDE environments, library lists, and restricted-access profiles to isolate changes from production users. Manage JDE libraries, environments, and the Software Versions Repository (SVR) including version control, change tracking, and disciplined promotion of changes within the shared LPAR. Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs, sleeper jobs, and subsystem activity; manage job queues, output queues, and spool files. Maintain DREAM Writer versions, processing options, data selection, and data sequencing for standard and custom reports. Administer JDE World security: user profiles, group profiles, action code security, function key security, business unit security, and menu locks. Maintain segregation-of-duties (SoD) controls and produce evidence for SOX, internal audit, and external audit requests. Document all reports, queries, and configuration changes; follow change-control standards on the shared LPAR. Manage IBM i user profiles, authorization lists, and object authorities related to the JDE environment. Review and remediate audit findings; document control procedures and keep them current. Configure and support core JDE World modules including General Accounting (G/L), Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), Fixed Assets, Inventory Management, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Address Book, and Procurement. Maintain Automatic Accounting Instructions (AAIs), next numbers, user-defined codes (UDCs), vocabulary overrides, and constants. Partner with functional analysts to translate business requirements into JDE configuration, custom modifications, or report changes. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities including G/L integrity, batch posting, and period close routines. Note: This position is NOT responsible for RPG development. Program-level modifications are handled by a separate developer or vendor; the administrator partners with that resource to define requirements, test changes, and promote them. Design, build, and maintain custom reports and inquiries using World Writer and DREAM Writer (versions, processing options, data selection, and data sequencing); use CoolSpools to convert, distribute, and archive spool output as PDF, Excel, CSV, and email. Write and maintain queries against DB2 for IBM i using IBM Query/400 (WRKQRY), DB2 SQL (RUNSQLSTM, STRSQL), and ODBC/JDBC tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Access) to extract data for finance, operations, and audit consumers Partner with the DBA, Infrastructure, Network, and Security teams to ensure the JDE stack meets enterprise standards for performance, availability, and compliance. Engage with Oracle Support and third-party JDE partners on service requests, escalations, and roadmap planning. Participate in an on-call for production incidents and after-hours change windows. Customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering reliable enterprise services. Strong ownership and accountability — able to drive issues to resolution across teams. Calm under pressure during production incidents and tight close windows. Comfortable balancing project work with break/fix support across multiple priorities. Continuous-improvement mindset; actively looks for ways to automate, standardize, and document. Standard business hours with occasional after-hours and weekend work for change windows, releases, and incident response. Participation in being on-call for production support. Prolonged periods working at a computer; occasional travel to other company locations as needed. Other duties as assigned.
