About The Position

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an on-site, project-based IT Service Desk Technician to support a large-scale technology initiative for one of our mining industry clients in the Elko, Nevada area. This is an on-site, project-based assignment expected to last approximately 12 months, supporting end-user computing environments across active industrial operations. This role is ideal for hands-on IT professionals who enjoy hardware deployment, desktop support, and working directly with end users in a fast-paced operational environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of PC Technician experience in a business or enterprise networking environment
• Strong working knowledge of desktop hardware, imaging, and troubleshooting
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be located within 8 hours of Elko, NV
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certifications
• CompTIA A+ certification

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, and image desktop and laptop computers
• Perform daily maintenance tasks, including remediating broken or malfunctioning client devices
• Install, configure, and support desktop software systems
• Provide onsite technical support to end users
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
• Perform additional IT support duties as assigned
