About The Position

EOHHS is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to support the Medicaid Systems Development (MSD) organization, with primary responsibility for the Health Safety Net (HSN) application. This role will lead and support testing activities across the software development lifecycle, ensuring critical healthcare applications meet functional, performance, security, accessibility, and business requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong manual and automated testing expertise, healthcare or government experience, advanced SQL skills, and the ability to collaborate with business analysts, developers, vendors, and stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in: Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Black-Box Testing, White-Box Testing.
  • Experience developing and executing automated test scripts.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills including complex queries, joins, and subqueries.
  • Experience with Oracle databases.
  • Experience using Jira or equivalent defect tracking tools.
  • Experience with: HP Quality Center (ALM), IBM ClearQuest, IBM Test Manager.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience testing Salesforce applications.
  • Healthcare, Medicaid, Health Safety Net (HSN), or government project experience.
  • Experience with: HP LoadRunner, HP QTP/UFT, Performance Testing Tools.
  • Experience working in large enterprise application environments.
  • Experience supporting accessibility (ADA/WCAG) testing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support testing activities across HSN and other MassHealth applications.
  • Develop test plans, test strategies, test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation.
  • Coordinate end-to-end testing activities and ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Review requirements, use cases, and functional specifications to ensure testability and coverage.
  • Participate in scope reviews, JAD sessions, and requirements validation activities.
  • Execute: Functional Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Security Testing, ADA Accessibility Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Create reusable test scenarios and maintain test repositories.
  • Perform gap analysis and identify additional test coverage needs.
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations on release readiness.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Support test automation frameworks and continuous testing initiatives.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as: Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
  • Improve testing efficiency through automation and process optimization.
  • Participate in defect triage, remediation, and root-cause analysis sessions.
  • Log, track, manage, and verify defects through resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams and vendors to resolve testing issues.
  • Maintain testing metrics and defect reporting dashboards.
  • Perform backend and database validation testing.
  • Develop complex SQL queries utilizing: Joins, Subqueries, Data Validation Techniques.
  • Validate application data using Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Support performance testing data preparation activities.
  • Develop testing metrics, dashboards, and status reports.
  • Produce Test Summary Reports following each testing cycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation and testing artifacts.
  • Ensure testing activities comply with EOHHS quality standards and methodologies.
  • Support the QA Manager in planning and coordinating testing activities.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, SMEs, Developers, Product Owners, and Vendors.
  • Provide guidance and support to testing team members.
  • Assist with testing process improvements and quality initiatives.
