About The Position

The Senior Director is responsible for end-to-end delivery execution across build, testing automation, and deployment for MedTech ERP & Digital Transformation programs, supporting approximately $2 B in global transformation initiatives. This role is accountable for industrializing delivery outcomes while operating under the model enabled by the Acceleration Office to ensure peak efficiency and achieve bold timelines, cost targets, and value goals. This role provides enterprise-scale leadership across Manufacturing, Order to Cash, integrations/ecosystems, and ancillary systems (e.g., SAP GTS), and is responsible for the operating cadence, performance management, and continuous improvement of the build factory.

Requirements

  • 25+ years of experience leading technology delivery, build/test/deploy, or large-scale ERP transformation programs in a global enterprise environment.
  • 15+ years of people leadership experience, including leading leaders and managing multi-disciplinary delivery organizations (internal and external).
  • Proven experience establishing factory/industrialized delivery models, performance metrics, and governance to achieve aggressive timelines and cost targets.
  • Experience leading test strategy, test automation, release management, and deployment/cutover execution for sophisticated, integrated ERP landscapes.
  • Strong ERP experience (SAP required; SAP ECC6 and SAP S/4 preferred) and familiarity with ancillary systems such as SAP GTS, plus integration/ecosystem patterns across the ERP stack.
  • Strong analytical and operational excellence outlook with ability to use data to drive delivery decisions, lead risks/issues, and continuously improve efficiency and quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and align senior partners across Business, Technology, Quality, and Finance.
  • Experience operating within modern delivery models (Agile/Hybrid) and partnering with acceleration/enablement organizations to drive adoption of new ways of working (including AI-enabled workflows).
  • Strong partner management, negotiation skills, and a service minded approach.
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem solving, and project management skills coupled with the ability to understand the process and quality related to a system.
  • Proven track record in handling internal and external technical personnel in a fast-paced, sophisticated, global project environment is required.
  • Experience of working with cross-regional, Global teams; Comfortable in interacting with people across hierarchical levels in the organization and at client locations for smooth project execution within the schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Own and run the build factory end-to-end, including leadership of factory leads and delivery partners, vendor/statement-of-work execution, adherence to controls and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX/GxP where applicable), and clear reporting to executive governance.
  • Industrialized ERP delivery across the transformation portfolio by establishing a repeatable, data driven build/test/deploy operating system (factory model), including a standard flow of work, quality gates, release governance, and efficiency management across waves and programs.
  • Ensure scalable and consistent delivery through cross-factory capacity planning, performance dashboards, risk/issue customer concerns, and continuous improvement—balancing speed, cost, quality, and value realization across Manufacturing, Order to Cash, integrations/ecosystems, and ancillary systems.
  • Apply the AI Agents workflow model to accelerate delivery and improve predictability—partnering with the Acceleration Office to embed agent-enabled flow of work across requirements-to-build, test design/execution, defect management, deployment readiness, and operational handover.
  • Lead testing automation and deployment at scale, including test strategy, automated regression, CI/CD enablement, release orchestration, cutover planning, and environment management to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely go-lives.
  • Partner with Program Leadership, the Acceleration Office, Architecture, Security, Quality, and Business Process Owners to ensure coordinated execution across the ERP stack, readiness for deployment, and smooth transition to run/operations.
  • Lead a distributed team of internal and external professionals, actively encouraging the growth and development of critical talent across MedTech and J&J.
  • Demonstrate a strong dedication to building crucial capabilities, cultivating leaders, and empowering the workforce to drive interpersonal success and innovation.
  • Create prioritized pipelines for critical roles, including internal mobility and external hiring strategies.
  • Align performance goals, promotion criteria, and incentives to Factory & AI/automation outcomes and value capture.
  • Ensure diverse hiring for AI roles and active retention plans (career progression, mentorship, meaningful work) to preserve institutional knowledge.
  • Maintain a bench of ready successors and rotational assignments to reduce single-person risk.
