About The Position

The City of Chandler Information Technology Department is seeking qualified individuals to join their team as an IT Security Senior Analyst. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining IT security protocols for the organization's information systems. The role focuses on engineering secure identity, access, and cloud security controls to protect the City’s cloud and hybrid technology environments. It involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions across diverse cloud environments, ensuring compliance with City policies and industry best practices. The position is highly technical and includes continuous monitoring, incident response, risk mitigation, and optimization of cloud and IAM security capabilities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field
  • 4 years of recent experience in security and networking systems supporting a wide variety of operating systems, security technologies, infrastructures and vulnerability assessments
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to develop and expand relationships between business units to execute the security program’s mission
  • Hands-on experience with multiple security tools via GUI or CLI in a professional environment
  • Comfortability with industry standard security frameworks from NIST, PCI, HIPAA

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain IT security protocols for the organization's information systems.
