About The Position

As a Scrum Master within First National Information Technology group, you will be accountable for building high performing Agile teams and ensuring the completion of IT deliverables. The individual in this position provides the leadership and experience to enable the team to develop goals, identify and remove impediments, work collaboratively across the organization and help mitigate risks. Scrum Masters do more than just facilitate Agile ceremonies, they promote an Agile mindset and lead continuous improvement within FNBO’s delivery system.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience including strong understanding of customer/stakeholder relationships, business analysis, estimation and prioritization
  • Familiarity and understanding of common Agile practices
  • Leadership and team building capabilities including coaching, guiding and supporting team members
  • Proficient in conflict resolution and problem solving techniques
  • Strong, effective communication skills, ability to bring multiple roles and personalities together to work towards a shared goal
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience promoting agile engineering practices- such as pair programming, continuous delivery, TDD, BDD and refactoring preferred
  • 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master strongly preferred
  • Experience with ServiceNow a plus
  • CSM, CPO, or PMI-ACP a plus

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate agile activities and meetings- including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Works with Product Owners and Program Managers to understand the product road-map, priorities, and schedules to guide delivery
  • Guide the team on Agile principles and values to enable and promote self-organization
  • Lead team to make realistic and achievable delivery commitments using standard agile metrics and reporting techniques
  • Manage dependencies across the organization
  • Build and support a strong team dynamic where people thrive and inspire each other
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders to manage expectations
  • Ensure tools and processes are documented and available for team use
  • Solicit and use input to evolve the delivery system to improve velocity and quality
