About The Position

This role focuses on SAP Time Management configuration. SAP CATS is used at BWXT for time entry and approval. Time Evaluation is used for various premium pay situations and quota determination. This position will work with the development team to deliver reports, enhancements, forms, interfaces, IDOC/ALE integration. They will also release transports for migration to the QA system, defining and executing test plan to assure proper application functioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant SAP configuration experience with a focus on Time Management.
  • Proven experience as an SAP ERP Functional Analyst.
  • Strong communications skills and customer orientation.
  • Significant troubleshooting skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP certification in Time Management.
  • Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Knowledge of integration points between Time Management and other SAP modules.

Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements; plan, design, test, train, and deploy SAP Time Management solutions.
  • Configure and test SAP CATS Time Management, work schedules, shifts, absence quotas, and timekeeping enhancements.
  • Configure and test Time Evaluation, including schema and rule changes.
  • Support integration with external time-entry applications (e.g., Jamis, Autotime).
  • Understand and manage Time Management integration points with other SAP modules.
  • Investigate and resolve helpdesk tickets related to CATS timekeeping and Time Evaluation.
  • Investigate and resolve helpdesk tickets related to Approval workflows tied to the HR organizational structure.
  • Provide time-related support to local timekeepers and payroll teams.
  • Contribute to larger initiatives involving SAP timekeeping, such as system consolidations, acquisition integrations, and organizational growth.
  • Work within an environment that includes a separate SAP HCM system and IDoc transfers of employee and organizational data to SAP ECC.
  • Support a custom effective rate program for billing and project cost control.
  • Partner with SAP developers, other functional teams, and business intelligence teams to deliver solutions.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand and document project and manufacturing process requirements.
  • Provide training on new or updated processes.
  • Offer ongoing guidance to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Create thorough documentation for SAP configurations, processes, and solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date materials for future reference and training.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance system functionality and business processes.
  • Stay current on SAP updates, tools, and best practices.
