About The Position

The IT Project/Program Manager-Procurement role involves formulating, organizing, and coordinating inter-connected projects across multiple departments and geographies. The position requires leveraging prior experience or progressively building expertise in IT applications such as ERP, SaaS, and enterprise platforms, as well as emerging technologies including AI/ML, IoT, and RPA, as relevant to client environments. A functional understanding of business processes, with a strong preference for Supply Chain domains, including procurement, planning, logistics, manufacturing, sales & distribution, finance, retail, and eCommerce, is desired. The manager will lead Project/Program Management for large-scale corporate IT programs and enterprise implementations, including supply chain and procurement product implementations. This role entails end-to-end responsibility for planning, resource management, risk and issue management, stakeholder management, and project reporting. Key responsibilities also include identifying and driving improvement and efficiency opportunities, implementing project reviews and quality assurance practices, acting as the primary liaison between senior business stakeholders and technology teams, establishing and running large initiatives through structured governance frameworks, defining and documenting project objectives, scope, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans, developing high-level and detailed project plans, managing proactive and structured communication, owning on-time and in-scope delivery, performing periodic risk assessments, managing escalations, and measuring/communicating project performance with comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in IT Project Management with excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience in supply chain procurement product implementations (ERP or SaaS-based).
  • Proven experience managing large-scale ERP or SaaS implementations.
  • Experience working in Waterfall, Agile, and/or Hybrid delivery models.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional and global teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong academic background from reputed engineering and/or management institutions.
  • 6–12 years of relevant experience in project/program management.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply Chain experience preferred, especially in procurement, planning, or enterprise supply chain environments.
  • Prior exposure to FMCG IT programs is an added advantage.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, CSPO, SAFe, or equivalent are preferred.

  • Establish and run large initiatives through structured program and project governance frameworks.
  • Define and document project objectives, scope, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans. Develop high-level project plans with milestones and timelines.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans covering tasks, resources, timelines, dependencies, and status tracking. Ensure timely execution and optimal resource utilization.
  • Manage proactive and structured communication with clients, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Own on-time, in-scope delivery of project outcomes. Perform periodic risk assessments and manage escalations effectively.
  • Measure and communicate project performance using standard metrics and reporting mechanisms. Maintain comprehensive and reusable project documentation.
