About The Position

Trupanion is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead in delivering software development and IT implementation projects from initiation through delivery, delivering exceptional business value. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of projects managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality. This role requires strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive alignment across technical and business teams. The ideal candidate must be a results-oriented individual who can think strategically, adapt quickly, and rapidly earn credibility and trust with all levels of the organization. This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software or IT related Project Management experience
  • Experience using JIRA, SharePoint, Microsoft Applications, Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and working with a SDLC in an IT project environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with experience leading multiple projects with competing priorities in a calm and efficient manner.
  • Self-starter with ability to build a strong rapport with resources across multiple functional areas.
  • Ability to follow standard methodologies in relation to project management and delivery

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification such as PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2 preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and work plans using standardized project management processes and reporting with activities, dates and resources, including time, budget and capacity management
  • Effectively identify and mitigate risks and issues; manage scope creep and change management
  • Actively communicate with other project teams to identify cross-dependencies and resolve roadblocks; results-oriented and ability to think strategically
  • Produce project management documentation, such as project plans/timelines, project requirements and success criteria, meeting materials and presentations, status reports, budget reports, and other project documentation
