This is a full-time/exempt term position lasting six months to one year. This position will coordinate project team activities with occasional guidance, including collaborating with investigators to manage current projects, as well as secure additional projects, and managing the relationship between investigators and the informatics group. Identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of project. Coordinates the activities of the team (i.e., create project assignments and distribute workload, perform training, provide general supervision) by becoming familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. Implements small development projects or components of large projects. In addition, this position is also needed to coordinate technical infrastructure and resource allocation between the informatics group and other technical groups within the Vanderbilt institution. The Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical & Translational Research (VICTR) is Vanderbilt’s virtual home for clinical and translational research. Supported by Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Office of Research and the NIH-sponsored Clinical and Translational Service Award (CTSA), the mission of the institute is to transform the way ideas and research discoveries make their way from origin to patient care. VICTR functions to help researchers and clinicians do their jobs better by providing tools and support to improve the quality of research, publications, grant writing, and training for future doctors and researchers.
