About The Position

The Opportunity: You know that effective data operations leaders sit at the intersection of mission needs, technical execution, and team enablement. We’re looking for a Data Operations and Engineering Lead who can guide a high‑performing team embedded with Army customers to help operationalize Army data within the Army Data Platform. In this role, you will oversee end‑to‑end data operations while ensuring the delivery, quality, and reliability of data pipelines, cleansing processes, engineering workflows, and platform operations that directly support Army mission outcomes. As the lead for a team of data engineers, data operations specialists, and data architects, you will combine strong management skills with hands-on technical expertise. You will work side‑by‑side with customers to understand mission requirements, translate them into actionable engineering tasks, and ensure the data environment is secure, stable, and optimized for analytics, research, and AI workloads. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to Army stakeholders while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and forward‑looking technical strategy. In addition to operational leadership, you’ll help shape the roadmap for data integration, data quality, lineage, and automation across the Army Data Platform. You’ll move quickly in a dynamic environment to triage issues, prioritize work, guide Agile ceremonies, and implement metrics to monitor data health and operational performance. Your ability to bring together people, processes, and technology will make a tangible difference in delivering trusted, mission‑ready data. Work with us to strengthen the Army’s data foundation and accelerate the future of mission-driven analytics and AI. Join us. The world can’t wait.
