About The Position

GDIT is seeking an IT Manager to support a DISA client at the Pentagon. The IT Manager will lead a ten-person operations team responsible for the Enterprise Management System (EMS). This system supports Sensitive but Unclassified, Secret, TS, and SCI networks, managing enterprise applications for network management, discovery, and root cause analysis. The role involves setting team direction, motivating staff, overseeing project completion using Kanban, managing resources and schedules for continuous service availability, and participating in technical project planning. The IT Manager will also serve as the primary liaison to the Branch Chief, drive the development of new capabilities, and identify opportunities to improve IT operations and end-user satisfaction. Additionally, the role requires managing and ensuring the high availability, configuration, and performance of critical enterprise tools including Identity Service Engine (ISE), RSA, LDAP, Ansible/GitLab, InfoBlox DNS, ClearPass, CloudVision, AirWave, CyberSecure IMS, CiscoPrime, and JunoSpace.

Requirements

Active Secret security clearance.
Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience OR Associate Degree with 7 years of experience.
5+ years of related experience in IT project management.
At least 3 years of people management experience.
2+ years working in system administration, networks, and infrastructure environments.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Familiarity with the managed tools (ISE, RSA, Ansible, InfoBlox, etc.).
Ability to apply systematic problem-solving skills to quickly solve novel problems and remediate complex issues.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
US Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

Set the direction for the team, ensuring alignment with Branch Chief goals and organizational objectives.

Oversee comprehensive resource management, including workload balancing, skill allocation, and capacity planning.

Participate in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and schedules.
Plan and prioritize new projects and system upgrades.
Serve as the primary liaison to the Branch Chief, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
Drive the development of new capabilities that create tangible value for the customer.
Identify opportunities to improve IT operations and end-user satisfaction, implementing solutions to address those opportunities.
