About The Position

ASE is looking for a Project Manager to work in Honolulu, HI. The Project Manager is essential in planning and executing various Information Technology (IT) projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This role involves close collaboration with government representatives and utilizing established Project Management principles based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) best practices.

Requirements

  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • IAW DoD 8570.01-M, must meet IAM II minimum qualifications.
  • Must possess ONE of the following 8570 IAM-II certifications: CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO, HCISPP.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum two (2) years of work experience in project management within the DoD.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills, including high-level presentations/briefings.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Microsoft Project will be the main tool for tracking projects.
  • Microsoft SharePoint is recommended for keeping all project related documents to share with team members and leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing information technology projects within a Department of Defense environment, supported by a strong technical background and proven project management skills.
  • CAPM or PMP Certification
  • Experience in a Communications Directorate or Division at the Combatant Command or Theater Service Component Command level.
  • Experience as a military staff officer.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining the Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) for each assigned project, which details goals, objectives, timelines, resources, and constraints.
  • Presenting project plans to government leaders, adapting them based on feedback to meet evolving needs.
  • Generating and updating a Project Risk Plan.
  • Tracking project progress.
  • Ensuring compliance with security and other project requirements.
  • Proactive management of project schedules, risk assessment, and the documentation process throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Preparing decision briefs for government leaders, outlining emergent issues and potential Courses of Action (COAs), facilitating informed decision-making and project adjustments.
  • Providing a Monthly Status Report (MSR) to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)-appointed Technical Assistant (TA), detailing the status of all projects, identifying emergent issues, and suggesting actionable solutions to ensure project success and alignment with strategic goals.
