About The Position

The Information Technology Unit provides technology planning and support to the Department to help ensure the successful accomplishment of the Department’s mission. This position provides technical expertise for managing the Department of Correction’s computer networks and telecommunications technology. This includes network administration, performance monitoring, hardware support, project planning, development of technical standards and policies, and providing overall technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Considerable experience with healthcare systems, electronic health record systems, HIPAA regulations, ACA healthcare requirements, and institutional healthcare.
  • Considerable experience in project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Considerable project management experience.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Expert and applied knowledge to create professional, written deliverables for requirements, project management documentation and work activities schedules.
  • Expert and applied knowledge of MS Project.
  • Expert and applied knowledge of business systems analysis methodologies and best practices.
  • VITA PMD Level I.
  • VITA PMD Level II certified or PMP.
  • VITA PMD Category 1-4 qualified.

Nice To Haves

  • Expert and applied knowledge of Request for Proposal Request for Information (RFP/RFI) creation and proposal evaluation.
  • Expert and applied knowledge of Commonwealth IT procurement processes, procedures, and laws.
