About The Position

The Intel Security Sector delivers technology-enabled services and mission software capabilities for defense and intel customers in the areas of cyber, logistics, security operations, and decision analytics. Your greatest work is ahead! The Intel Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior IT Manager. Your job will be to provide IT project management and support to assigned OSINT IT mission systems, commercial capabilities, data science initiatives, trade studies, and innovative prototype initiatives. This position will be located at one of our customer sites in Bethesda, MD; Reston, VA; or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC. This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility enterprise program at the intersection of data, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. Ideal candidates are motivated by mission impact, comfortable operating in complex stakeholder environments, and interested in building deep domain expertise while delivering capabilities with real-world national security outcomes. The successful candidate will work on projects to design, develop, and deploy software applications to support DIA/NDOC OSINT production on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE). Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the field with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
  • Experience overseeing multidisciplinary technical teams (cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, infrastructure, AI/ML, hybrid environments).
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, scope, and risk for large-scale government programs
  • Experience performing financial and performance monitoring of contracts.
  • Exceptional skills in resource planning, task scheduling, and risk management.
  • A strong working knowledge of Network, Systems/Compute, and End-User Support environments.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Project and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working on complex software projects.
  • Experience working with a highly technical team in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree.
  • 12 years of experience in the field with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Experience supporting a Program Management Office (PMO) on large government contracts.
  • Proficiency with software development tools and methodologies.
  • Experience supporting federal IT modernization or cybersecurity transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF), FISMA, and federal cybersecurity compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and cloud governance practices.
  • Experience with cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CISM, CCSP, SAFe Agilist, or ITIL.

Responsibilities

  • Produce task management and provide expertise to mid and senior level personnel on IT projects.
  • Coordinate team efforts and contribute to overall IT objectives.
  • Manage IT lifecycle for OSINT systems, coordinate across teams, handle requirements gathering, cost analysis, and provide project plans with Agile management techniques.
  • Support multiple Agile development team(s) with IT management support.
  • Supervise Managed Attribution Solutions to ensure standard operating procedures (SOP) for sustained operations.
  • Understand and interpret requirements, high-level features and desired outcomes to articulate the needs to be addressed.
