Organization: VUMC IT PMO Facilities Expansion Job Summary: The IT Project Manager, Facilities Expansion, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering IT infrastructure projects that support organizational growth initiatives. Working with minimal supervision, this role leads cross-functional project teams to ensure the successful execution of technology deployments aligned with new and expanding facilities. This position sits within the Facilities Expansion Team and manages IT projects associated with new clinic and hospital construction, remote clinics, administrative office spaces, and acquisitions. The Project Manager will oversee end-to-end project delivery, from requirements gathering and resource planning through implementation, site readiness, and handoff to operations.

Requirements

  • Strong project management, leadership, and facilitation skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating complex IT infrastructure projects across distributed or remote locations

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent IT infrastructure projects supporting facility expansion initiatives
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and resource assignments to ensure timely and successful delivery
  • Coordinate network, voice, and connectivity installations with internal teams and external vendors
  • Manage project budgets, procurement activities, and vendor engagements
  • Oversee deployment of hardware, support services, and end-user IT solutions
  • Coordinate email and collaboration services, hosting, and other enterprise IT platforms as needed
  • Facilitate clear communication among stakeholders, ensuring alignment across IT, facilities, vendors, and leadership
  • Prepare and deliver project documentation, status reports, presentations, and executive updates
