The IT Project Coordinator coordinates and supports the delivery of small to medium-scale IT projects, reporting to and working under the guidance of the Director of the IT Project Management Office. This position supports a wide range of strategic and operational initiatives. The Project Coordinator works with the Director and project managers on communication, documentation, and progress tracking. The coordinator manages small projects independently or with a project management mentor, progressing to larger and more complex projects as experience grows, and serves as primary point of contact for the projects they manage. A significant component of the position is supporting PMO operations and the administration of the IT project portfolio. The Project Coordinator maintains portfolio data accuracy, contributes to data curation and dashboard development, tracks licenses, onboards new users, participates in vendor coordination, and serves as a resource for users of the IT project portfolio. The coordinator also supports PMO partners with business case and project plan templates and contributes to the ITS and OneIT Governance processes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as the role involves frequent collaboration with university faculty, staff, and leadership. This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location. This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.
