About The Position

The IT Project & Contracts Administrator supports the Information Security/IT function by managing the full lifecycle of IT vendor and software contracts (drafting, tracking, renewals, and compliance) while coordinating day-to-day activities across IT and security projects. This fully remote, entry-level position is ideal for a highly organized self-starter with no prior IT experience but at least one year of management or supervisory experience in any field. The role acts as the administrative backbone for the CISO’s office, keeping vendor obligations, budgets, and project timelines on track.

Requirements

  • No prior IT experience required – this is an entry-level role open to candidates new to the IT field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of management, supervisory, or team-lead experience in any industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, food service, office administration).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and projects at once and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fully remote environment with reliable high-speed internet.
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with contract terms, renewal deadlines, and basic budget/numerical data.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage IT vendor and software contracts, including negotiating renewal terms, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain a centralized contract repository, tracking key dates (renewals, expirations, auto-renew clauses) and proactively flagging upcoming actions to stakeholders.
  • Partner with the CISO, IT leadership, and Legal/Procurement to ensure contracts align with security, compliance, and budgetary requirements.
  • Coordinate day-to-day project management activities for IT and security initiatives, including maintaining project plans, timelines, and status reports.
  • Track project budgets and expenditures against vendor contracts, flagging discrepancies or cost overruns to leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding contract questions, invoicing issues, and renewal negotiations.
  • Organize and facilitate project status meetings, capturing action items and following up to ensure timely completion.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of vendor relationships, including due diligence documentation and basic risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of contract terms, processes, and project artifacts to support audits and compliance reviews.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Information Security/IT department.
