About The Position

The City of Chandler Information Technology Department is seeking a qualified individual to join their team as an IT Programmer Senior Analyst. This is a regular full-time, exempt position with benefits. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with potential for weekend and nighttime work outside of normal hours. The Information Technology department values Team Chandler and is dedicated to driving innovation to provide extraordinary service. Their responsibilities include coordinating computer technology across city departments, managing technology investments and assets, providing technology services and support, consulting, business process analysis, and project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 4 years of recent experience in systems application analysis.
  • Highly complex technical documentation programming.
  • Acting as a lead system implementer on a project team delivering an enterprise solution.
  • Experience in web development (C#, ASP.Net, Angular, NodeJs preferred).
  • Experience with BASH/Linux, XML, JSON.
  • Database development (Progress, SQL, PL/SQL desired).
  • Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, software implementations, and support contracts while ensuring project milestones and service expectations are met.
  • Experience with source code management and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including facilitating requirements gathering sessions, documenting business processes, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and promoting development standards and best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Ansible or similar automation and configuration management tools for application deployment and infrastructure automation.
