About The Position

The IT Program Manager I is accountable for Program objectives. They define strategic areas of responsibility, including, but not limited to, reassigning and restructuring of significant organizational resources and processes. They influence and sponsor cross-organizational decisions on work prioritization, resource allocation, long-range standards of performance, and IT strategy. The PgM I is active in planning, implementing, and managing change for the organization. Assesses the impact of enterprise-wide change and builds contingency plans to support change efforts. Communicates planned change and participates in activities that promote organizational change. When collaborating, the expectation is that there is an awareness of items that will have project outcome implications, other than those anticipated, as well as validation of project delivery recommendations. PgM I direct by exception, and is expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization's project management lifecycle methodology. They are assigned to complex initiatives of significant scope, organizational impact, and budget. In addition, the PgM I is expected to be a significant contributor on strategic initiatives and planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree upon hire
  • 5+ years project management experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Other in Project Management or related field
  • Project management experience in health care environment preferred
