About The Position

The IT Procurement Specialist sources and manages IT equipment and services from vendors and suppliers and works with customers on orders. The role prepares and reviews requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), contracts, and service level agreements based on company and stakeholder needs. It also tracks and reports procurement data and coordinates the delivery and installation of IT products.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an IT or business major.
At least three years of experience in IT procurement or equivalent.
Highly organized and process-oriented.
Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a focus on problem-solving.
Ability to work autonomously to support customer and company success.

Responsibilities

Conduct sourcing activities to evaluate supplier pricing and offerings.
Negotiate with multiple vendors to obtain the best available pricing.
Review contracts, terms, and service level agreements.
Develop RFPs and conduct due diligence on vendor responses.
Input and track procurement data.
Facilitate planning and coordination of equipment delivery, installations, upgrades, and changes.
Review procurement items for categorization, coding, pricing, and information accuracy in the items database and request catalog.
Manage daily IT hardware and software requests and issue purchase orders as needed.
Quote and manage structured orders directly with customers.
Maintain pricing models for equipment and services.
Manage standard product configurations for typical orders.
Manage inventory of in-stock equipment.
Track the lifecycle of contracts for equipment and cloud services.
