About The Position

The IT Procurement Manager develops systems and process roadmaps to optimize performance of sourcing and procurement activities. Defines requirements for and maintains electronic catalogs, purchasing/sourcing and monitoring tools, demand planning systems, etc. to ensure efficiency and streamlining of the procurement process. May collaborate with IT and other internal resources to automate, integrate and improve enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Adheres to all company compliance and ethical standards. A Specialist Professional is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include: Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager. Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Reporting to the Sr Manager Global Procurement. This sourcing professional will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of IT services and software, with a focus on high-value, complex contracts across the Americas and globally. The role includes collaboration with the global procurement team to execute category strategies and drive impactful outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience negotiating with IT suppliers, especially software suppliers.
  • Proven track record negotiating large, complex, high-dollar IT software contracts with significant cost savings and risk mitigation.
  • Experience managing relationships and contracts with hyperscalers and major software, hardware, and cyber providers, such as Microsoft, Google, AWS, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Adobe, ServiceNow, PaloAlto, CrowdStrike, Seagate, Cisco, etc.
  • Strong understanding of procurement law, with the ability to negotiate supply agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work, licensing agreements, order forms, and amendments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead sourcing initiatives and influence IT executives and senior IT leaders to adopt Procurement best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and AI tools.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable with strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with eSourcing tools is a plus.
  • Certifications in procurement (e.g., ISM), legal, or commercial negotiations are a plus.

  • Structures contracts to optimize cost, mitigate risk, maximize cash flow, and ensure performance and compliance.
  • Drafts, negotiates, and manages IT contracts, including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, software licensing, and professional services.
  • Manages post-contract practices to enforce terms and monitor vendor performance.
  • Evaluates financial implications, total cost of ownership (TCO), and ROI of IT solutions.
  • Uses procurement analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and assess vendor risk.
  • Fosters long-term partnerships with strategic IT vendors.
  • Manages vendor scorecards, SLAs, and escalation processes.
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in writing to articulate needs and negotiate.
  • Influences IT Executives and IT Senior leaders to adopt Procurement best practices in negotiations with large Software and Hardware suppliers.
  • Collaborates with technical stakeholders and translates business needs into procurement requirements.
  • Ensures ethical sourcing and compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Executes IT RFPs.
  • Partners with IT leaders.
  • Leads sourcing initiatives.
  • Supports strategies that lead to a significant reduction in IT spend.
