The Office of Contracts and Acquisitions (OCA) is housed within the Office of Legal and Acquisition Services and has the expertise and authority for creating agreements and contracts and overseeing the acquisition of goods and services for ODJFS. The mission of OCA is to meet and maintain the highest level of compliance with Federal and State laws, rules, policies, and procedures for acquisitions and contracting for ODJFS and to establish and maintain public trust and confidence in the stewardship of taxpayer funds. This position will review, analyze, evaluate, and approve requests for acquisition of information technology (IT) hardware, software, education, consulting services, and maintenance for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), County Departments of Job and Family Services (CDJFS), Children Services Boards, and Child Support Enforcement Agencies (CSEAs). The role involves providing IT procurement assistance for IT projects with complex technical variables and analyzing IT requests for merit, cost-effectiveness, agency utilization, and strategic plan consistency. The analyst will also review and approve requisitions in OhioBuys for IT-related purchases and research IT trends to advise leadership on operational improvements.
