Position Overview This position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO, or in Sterling, Virginia in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible). Procurement Department The Procurement team is responsible for securing the material equipment Vantage’s Data Centers require to function. The team leads these efforts from conception through commissioning, working with Sales, Operations, New Site Development, and Engineering along the way. Procurement also works closely with vendor partners to come up with a vertically integrated design, and we manage these partners to deliver the projects on schedule and budget. Vantage is unique in that our technical staff is given the responsibility and authority to directly drive the process. Our internal team can align long-term operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics to deliver products aligned with corporate goals. This approach empowers each member of the team to drive high- impact decisions and even more impactful results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, IT, Law or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing with a focus on technology, software, hardware, and services. Candidates with fewer years of experience but strong, demonstrable skills are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Experience supporting global or multi-region procurement activities
  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor and supplier contracts
  • Proficiency with procurement platforms, financial tools, and ERP systems
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage complexity, and independently drive tasks to completion
  • Strong business acumen and commercial negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones

  • Data center or industrial equipment experience is strongly preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Technology Procurement Manager to support daily activities and help ensure the technology procurement function meets or exceeds organizational goals
  • Understand and support RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for sourcing IT software, hardware, and services across multiple regions
  • Coordinate with global and regional vendors to drive continuous quality improvement and performance
  • Track renewal dates for enterprise software and support licenses globally, initiating discussions with stakeholders to review budgets and regional requirements
  • Assist in the analysis of vendor quotes, change orders, and technical/commercial submittals
  • Learn and manage financial and procurement systems to enter POs, review invoices, track regional budgets, and allocate equipment to projects
  • Support the Technology Procurement Manager and Finance/Accounting teams in resolving invoice and payment issues
  • Drive project-level tasks and milestones assigned by the Technology Procurement Manager across the region.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen supplier relationships at a regional level
  • Develop and maintain high-level reporting and recordkeeping to support technology procurement visibility and decision-making
  • Continuously refine procurement processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and compliance with policies
  • Work with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure suppliers and procurement activities meet corporate and regional regulatory requirements
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across regions regarding hardware and software needs
  • Provide post-order support, including order status updates, issue resolution, and facilitation of returns
  • Maintain and update inventory systems for internal hardware, including periodic audits
  • Place re-stock orders with suppliers and negotiate pricing aligned with procurement strategies
  • Assist with allocating hardware to regional projects
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding stock shortages, delays, or supply chain disruptions
  • Coordinate occasional scheduling, preparation, and courier delivery of hardware across regions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and operational requirements
  • Conduct market research to evaluate best-value pricing for hardware, software and professional services.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure all purchases are accurately costed and aligned to approved budgets
  • Coordinate approvals and release of equipment required for deployment
  • Negotiate best-landed pricing with primary and secondary vendors, considering logistics, duties, and regional considerations
  • Assist with inventory planning, forecasting, and demand management
