Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related
  • 5 years of Cloud data architecture and software development experience
  • SQL
  • SSIS
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Qlik View scripting languages for data analysis & data modeling
  • Cloud data ecosystems such as AWS EMR, Redshift and Spark
  • designing data processing solutions respective of performance, reliability, and cost
  • Design and implementation of data warehouses
  • Working with common APIs to integrate data from external systems

Responsibilities

  • Independently design solutions for creating and maintaining datasets, data processing solutions, and data storage solutions, with consideration for performance, correctness, and availability.
  • Develop and maintain systems for staging data in one or more cloud-compute platforms in a way that is scalable, testable, performant, and cost-effective.
  • Works directly with stakeholders to identify opportunities for analysis and reporting on complex data in solution of business problems.
  • Design and implement data-integrations between multiple disparate data sources to provide unified views of data.
  • Provide support for users in diagnosing potential data-related issues.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and/or architects to design production-ready and scalable implementations of proof-of-concept models or other data solutions.
  • Recommends processes and/or tools to improve team performance.
  • Mentor less-experienced team members, providing guidance and technical development.
  • Works with manager to help set short-term goals and milestones for the team.
  • Contributes to interviewing candidates to help build a diverse and talented team.
