About The Position

The Bilingual IT/OT Systems Director for the USA will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing the operation, evolution, and security of the company’s technology systems in the United States, ensuring operational continuity across industrial and corporate environments while aligning local operations with the multinational company’s global IT strategy. With previous experience working or having relationship with Federal or Governmental entities, this role will serve as the primary local technology leader, ensuring efficient integration between IT and OT environments and compliance with corporate cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in similar roles within industrial or multinational environments.
  • Strong experience in MES, SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems.
  • Strong experience in IT/OT infrastructures.
  • Strong experience in Industrial and corporate networking.
  • Strong experience in Industrial systems integration and IoT platforms.
  • Strong experience in Industrial cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience working with NIST SP 800-53.
  • Proven experience working with NIST SP 800-171.
  • Experience collaborating with global IT organizations and multinational environments.
  • OT network segmentation.
  • Industrial firewalls and OT cybersecurity.
  • Virtualized and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Industrial monitoring and networking tools.
  • Integration between MES, ERP, and IoT systems.
  • Native English speaker required.
  • Professional Spanish proficiency (minimum B2/C1).
  • Strong leadership and international communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the local IT and OT infrastructure for the US operations/plants.
  • Ensure availability, performance, and operational continuity of IT and OT systems.
  • Coordinate secure integration and segmentation between IT and OT networks.
  • Manage industrial and corporate networks, communications, and site connectivity.
  • Oversee hybrid environments, virtualization, backups, and operational continuity.
  • Manage and support industrial production systems, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SCADA systems, HMIs, PLCs, Industrial monitoring and data acquisition systems, and Industrial testing benches and validation environments.
  • Implement and maintain integrations between MES systems, ERP platforms, OT networks, and IoT platforms.
  • Lead industrial digitalization and automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to ensure operational stability and technological evolution.
  • Ensure availability, traceability, and integrity of plant and industrial system data.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity standards and frameworks, including NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-171.
  • Implement and oversee cybersecurity controls across IT and OT environments.
  • Support audits, business continuity planning, and technology risk management activities.
  • Coordinate incident response and vulnerability management initiatives.
  • Ensure proper implementation of corporate security policies within the US subsidiary.
  • Act as the liaison between the global IT organization and the local US operation.
  • Coordinate technology vendors and external service providers.
  • Participate in global infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation projects.
  • Support budgeting, technology asset management, and local investment planning.
  • Ensure alignment between local operational needs and the company’s global IT strategy.
