About The Position

IAMGOLD is a Canadian-based gold mining company with operations and development projects across North America and West Africa. We are seeking an IT/OT Systems Architect to lead and liaise with sites to support and evaluate localized business cases, elevating them to enterprise-ready solutions. This role involves maintaining and developing current systems and applications, managing the project lifecycle and documentation, and providing daily support and oversight to site and corporate users. Requirements

  • University degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 12 Years or + in Information Technology
  • Environments VMware server (ESXi), 5 years or +
  • Windows / Linux Servers, 5 years or +
  • Microsoft SQL Server (database administrator), 2 years or +
  • Microsoft Sharepoint, 2 years or +
  • Minimum of 5 years or + of verifiable experience with Microsoft technologies.
  • Microsoft Skype for Business, 2 years or +
  • Microsoft Exchange or +, 3 years or +
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • Team work oriented
  • Able to produce Project plans and multitask several projects in tandem.
  • Capable of working in a global and international environment.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and French (advanced level)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight into harmonizing business requirements with corporate strategy.
  • Prepare business requirements’ definition.
  • Participate in selecting technology, vendors and consultants.
  • Establish system acceptance criteria and coordinate system testing.
  • Liaison with site IT/OT departments regarding technical requirements.
  • Lead and project management resources in task delivery which will be on time and budget.
  • Develop customer training outline and/or provide or assist with user training.
  • Oversight into new developments which incorporated into our existing environments meet expected standards.
  • Conduct post-mortem and learning lessons.
  • Enable our Manage service provider to provide guidance and elevated troubleshooting support to ensure users are receiving expected service and performance from our enterprise application and infrastructure.
  • Actively participate in improving and providing a reliable, and problem-free environment.
  • Maintain and enhance the relationship between information systems and the user community, based on a customer-oriented approach.
  • Recommend and execute evaluations, testing and training for upgrades to systems and applications.
  • Provide technical expertise to other IT staff and all customers across the organization.
  • Update existing documentation for system changes and new components.
  • Participate in the execution of our disaster recovery plan and tabletop exercises.
  • Ensure integrity of company solutions by performing audits on systems at sites and offices.
  • Maintain and audit systems and application across the organization.
  • Work with Data Analytics teams to provide presentation analytics that expedite technology business decisions and enable constructive discussions amongst the sites.
  • Identify gaps and solutions to our Value chain model and respond to executive team requests.
  • Provide a professional environment by maintaining computer and network facilities.
  • Review current technologies and processes and make recommendations to ensure efficiency.
  • Using industry’s best practices to deploy and support an architecture and design process that is aligned with business requirements for high availability.
  • Provide guidance, audits and support for regarding assets monitoring.
  • Continuous improvement that promotes our technology roadmap.
  • Provide End user support and training were required that empowers the organizational efficiency of our work.
